Classification of mainstream VR devices

At this stage, VR equipment can fall into three categories. They are PCVR, Game console VR and mobile VR. Among them, the mobile VR is divided into mobile phone box VR and VR AIO.

1.PCVR:

PCVR HMD:

The precondition is that it requires a computer. It used to require at least GTX970 graphics. With the continuous upgrading of graphics cards, the minimum requirement is now upgraded to GTX1050. Of course, the higher the graphics card, the better the effect. PCVR requires high performance. Definitely, different brands of PCVR have different prices and bring different experiences.

HTC VIVE

Perhaps everyone is more familiar with HTC VIVE. After all, it was the very first to enter the consumer market. In addition to its positioning advantages, HTC is also the PCVR HMD that supports full-body tracking. And it also the only one among various VRs. If you are not short of money or want to experience full-body tracking, choose it!

Oculus Rift, Rifts

A popular VR product is also a company that integrates hardware, software, and positioning technology. This is also inseparable from the investors behind. Definitely, many green hands don't know. Because some places are not only unavailable, installation is also very inconvenient. Games are also very expensive. However, the game quality is generally high. Of course, this is only for novices, and it is easy for veterans to get started.

2. Game Consoles.

Here are actually two PSVRs from Sony and Nintendo Labo VR Kit from Nintendo. The two VRs rely on their own host hardware and games as platforms. Although the resolution of Sony's PSVR is not too high and the positioning effect falls flat. It wins in high-quality exclusive games. Sony's VR gaming experience is excellent. If you have a PS4, buying a set of PSVR to experience is the best.

Nintendo Labo VR Kit can be regarded as an accessory of a switch. Just assembling the form of the Nintendo Labo VR Kit will take several hours. Of course, the fun here cannot be experienced by other products.

3. Mobile VR

Mobile VR box: The cheapest VR glasses. It is just entry-level but cheap. The Samsung gear mobile helmet is the boss of mobile VR box glasses. Entry-level products had very poor effects in the early days. In 2016, the performance of mobile phones was not enough to meet the requirements of VR. So, the mobile phone paper box was a big hit in 2016-2017. Certainly, they died out also very fast.

All-in-one VR: It can be regarded as an alternative to VR. Fortunately, it has developed steadily in the past few years. And it can also meet the viewing needs of most users. The all-in-one VR machine has independent hardware and system without connecting to a computer. The simple understanding is that a mobile phone is plugged in. And some optimizations have been made in the field of view, distortion, etc. So, the emergence of a VR all-in-one is not a bad thing.
